Course Description
The Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is required by all bus and truck drivers. You must complete 35 hours of periodic training every five years to keep your qualification valid.

If your CPC card is due to expire or if you are thinking of returning to the industry, this course will provide you with the training necessary to attain your updated qualification.

Monday 20th – Vehicle Load Safety / Road Sense & Awareness (Graham)
Tuesday 21st – Drivers’ Hours & Tacho Use / Professional Driver Well Being (Carl)
Wednesday 22nd – The Role of the Professional Driver (Carl)
Thursday 23rd – Emergency First Aid (Danny)
Friday 24th – Highway Code & Vulnerable Road Users / Defect Reporting (David)
What You Can Expect
The course will be held at our facilities in Rutherglen, Glasgow. Our offices are located a short distance from the Polmadie junction on the M74.
Registration begins from 8:30am with your course scheduled to start at 9:00am. There will be two 15-minute breaks in the morning and afternoon, and a 30-minute lunch interval. Lunch and refreshments will be provided for you and are included in the price.
By attending this course, you will receive your full Driver CPC qualification, valid for five years.
Our courses are interactive and are composed of presentations, exercises and video clips. There are short question papers at the end of each module to confirm knowledge transfer – these are not ‘exams’ and your hours will be uploaded irrespective of your score; they do help us identify areas where our courses need more work, however.
Your course certificate will be e-mailed to you upon completion of the course. Arrangements can be made to post out your certificate, if preferred.
