Today marked the end of our 2013 Driver CPC training schedule and it seems like a good time to reflect on what has been a busy and exciting year for GRT.<\/p>\n
On the training front, during the course of the year, we welcomed our 500th delegate and helped many others complete their periodic training – if you were one, we would love to hear about your experience. The PCV training deadline arrived in September with many drivers still looking to finish their quota – this resulted in running\u00a0ten<\/strong>\u00a0courses in little under four weeks. Recently, we held six consecutive weekend courses so it’s fair to say that our trainers have earned their Christmas break this year!<\/p>\n Our partnership with Perth College continues to flourish and we have now held over 30 periodic training courses on campus since mid-2011. We have also expanded our range of training venues in Argyllshire where our regional trainer\/consultant David Sutherland has excelled in providing first-class courses – he even got a round of applause at one session!<\/p>\n Operators continue to utilise our range of compliance solutions to help ensure adherence to regulations and legislation. In addition to our loyal and established client-base, some new businesses have come on board throughout 2013 and we aim to provide them with the same dedicated service.<\/p>\n Towards the end of this year, we have noticed an increase in the number of businesses looking to apply for operator licences and hopefully this is a reflection of better trading conditions in the economy. Applying for a licence can be a substantial financial commitment but it can also be an extremely valuable acquisition.<\/p>\n Perhaps most noticeably during this year has been the completion of the company\u2019s rebrand.
