GRT is a management consultancy specialising in advising commercial vehicle operators on their operator licencing requirements. Founded over 20 years ago, we advise a number of clients, ranging from small transport enterprises to large nationwide organisations, with regards to enforcement and compliance issues.
We aim to provide transport operators in Scotland and North England with tailored, expert advice and effective, reasonably-priced training solutions delivered consistently by friendly, attentive and knowledgable people.
Formed by Graham Robison in 1992, the company originally focused solely on haulage services, supplying a number of companies including TDG and B&Q. In 1999, the company began to offer a consultancy service, initially assisting people with operator licence applications.
Graham has been involved in the transport industry for over 25 years and has gained vast experience in both driving and office-based roles. A national CPC holder and member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. Graham continues to head up the company, dealing directly with clients and seeking new opportunities to further develop the business. He has also recently been elected onto the RHA regional council.
David served with Strathclyde Police for 32 years, many of which were spent in the traffic department, before retiring in 2006. Joining GRT in 2012, David brings great experience in driving standards, road traffic procedures and enforcement. David is also a qualified vehicle examiner and is a national CPC holder.
Scott joined the business in 2010 after graduating from the University of Glasgow. Scott is an international CPC holder and has gained experience of working on a range of compliance issues since joining the company. Working with our current client-base, Scott is also responsible for marketing and brand management.
Kenny has over 40 years' experience in the chemical industry and partnered with us in late 2014 to present our ADR and dangerous goods awareness training. Having run his own independent hazardous goods management consultancy since the late 90's, Kenny can also provide a Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser service and Air Cargo Security training.
