Today marked the end of our 2013 Driver CPC training schedule and it seems like a good time to reflect on what has been a busy and exciting year for GRT.
On the training front, during the course of the year, we welcomed our 500th delegate and helped many others complete their periodic training – if you were one, we would love to hear about your experience. The PCV training deadline arrived in September with many drivers still looking to finish their quota – this resulted in running ten courses in little under four weeks. Recently, we held six consecutive weekend courses so it’s fair to say that our trainers have earned their Christmas break this year!
Our partnership with Perth College continues to flourish and we have now held over 30 periodic training courses on campus since mid-2011. We have also expanded our range of training venues in Argyllshire where our regional trainer/consultant David Sutherland has excelled in providing first-class courses – he even got a round of applause at one session!
Operators continue to utilise our range of compliance solutions to help ensure adherence to regulations and legislation. In addition to our loyal and established client-base, some new businesses have come on board throughout 2013 and we aim to provide them with the same dedicated service.
Towards the end of this year, we have noticed an increase in the number of businesses looking to apply for operator licences and hopefully this is a reflection of better trading conditions in the economy. Applying for a licence can be a substantial financial commitment but it can also be an extremely valuable acquisition.
Perhaps most noticeably during this year has been the completion of the company’s rebrand. With the help of Tom Holmes and Ramsay MacFarlane, we’ve been able to create an identity that we are very pleased with and one that we hope you will grow to recognise in the near future.
2014 promises to be an even better, more exciting year – we’d love you to be part of our journey and we’d love to be part of yours.
From all at GRT, we would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
