Course Description

The Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is required by all bus and truck drivers. You must complete 35 hours of periodic training every five years to keep your qualification valid.

If your CPC card is due to expire or if you are thinking of returning to the industry, this course will provide you with the training necessary to attain your updated qualification.

Course Content

The course will cover our full current syllabus of modules:

• Thursday - The Role of the Professional Driver (Carl)
• Friday - Highway Code & Vulnerable Road Users / Defect Reporting (David)
• Monday - Drivers' Hours & Tacho Use / Professional Driver Well-Being (Graham)
• Tuesday - Emergency First Aid (Danny)
• Wednesday - Vehicle Load Safety / Road Sense & Awareness (David)

What You Can Expect

The course will be held at our facilities in Rutherglen, Glasgow. Our premises are located a short distance from the Polmadie junction on the M74. 

Registration is open from 8:30am with your course scheduled to start at 9:00am. There will be two 15-minute breaks in the morning and afternoon, and a 30 minute lunch interval. Lunch and refreshments will be provided and are included in the price.

By attending this course, you will receive your full Driver CPC qualification, valid for five years.

Our courses are interactive and are composed of presentations, exercises and video clips. There are short question papers at the end of each module to confirm knowledge transfer - these are not exams and your hours will be uploaded irrespective of your score. 

Your course certificate will be emailed to you upon completion.

To book your Driver CPC 5-Day Intensive with GRT, simply select one of the available dates listed above and enter the required details.
