This course will introduce you to current legislation and requirements pertaining to Drivers' Hours. You will also cover EU Drivers' Hours, UK Domestic Hours and the Working Time Directive (2005).
This course demonstrates the necessity for you to be aware of hazards and know how you should deal with them. You will also cover material on the Highway Code, vocational licences, aerodynamics, health & safety on the road and driving under the influence of drugs, alcohol or fatigue.
Our trainers will help you understand the best practices in the safe loading of goods vehicles. The course will look at the legal requirements of safe loading, the consequences and penalties of unsecured loads and the importance of weight and load distribution.
This 7-hour module provides candidates with a working knowledge of the legislation and legal framework concerning the industry of road transport. The second half of the course presents a case study involving a number of incidents which require the application of compliance knowledge and serves as a ‘refresher’ on some key topics.

This module aims to provide you with a working knowledge of digital and analogue tachographs. You will look at the daily utilisation of tachographs, Smart Cards, the correct usage of equipment, download analysis of raw material and manual entries. You will also focus on the regulations and implications of analogue and digital equipment which looks at areas such as the importance of calibration, centrefield completion and the rules regarding record keeping.
Conducted by a fully qualified and approved St Andrew's First Aid trainer, you are given an introduction to First Aid in the workplace which aims to develop your awareness of medical conditions. Involving presentations and role play, you will cover casualty management, dealing with wounds and bleeding, circulatory and breathing disorders, life saving techniques and assessing emergency situations.
